2024 Committee Member Assignments

Members are encouraged to sign up for one or more committees.  Committees meet at least once quarterly with the Chairman being responsible for providing the monthly activity reports to the Executive Board and attending the four quarterly Business Meetings (January, April, July, and October).  Each committee elects its Chairman.  LCMGA Officers* may not hold chairman positions.  All committee meetings are open to all members to attend.

MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE-2024

The Membership Committee is responsible for addressing the issues of ongoing membership as well as the recruitment and retention of new members.  This committee is responsible for the welcoming and mentoring of interns.

PROJECTS COMMITTEE-2024

The Projects Committee is responsible for receiving suggestions from the membership for proposed group projects that can realistically be undertaken by the membership and completed ideally within the calendar year while recognizing that some projects may be of longer duration.

EDUCATION COMMITTEE-2024

The Education Committee is responsible for eliciting input from the membership on topics for educational programs for the months of February, March, May, June, August, September, and November.  Programs, speakers, field trips, and focused round table discussions are the responsibility of the committee.  This committee is also responsible for disseminating information regarding other educational opportunities.
